AmiWorks Turns 5, Still in Beta

We are now 5 years old and you can see the stretching marks of our last years effort all over us 🙂

This year we moved our office location twice, first to Cerebrum IT Park, and then last month to Marisoft 3.  We had pushed our team size to 45, and now we are back to 20, but this is more experienced team then what we had earlier.

We are now in much better shape then what we were this time last year. We had few more revisions on all our process, now our development process is optimized for our projects, our ability to handle complex projects has increased, our hiring process has improved and many more. In short I can say this year was about giving finishing touches to all our process.

We registered WPoets as partnership firm with SMEJoinup and moved all our WordPress work to it. We also created an Awesome UI platform and framework for WordPress, you will get to hear more about it soon. In coming month we are going to focus more on making WPoets a leading brand for WordPress development in this country

As I twitted in July, we had been facing a tough time, and now things are settling down. Overall this was a stressful year and as usual it was filled with many learning and insights.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all our well wishers, customers and team members who stood by us during our turbulent times.

In terms of AOE-ROR, we are in bronze age and while doing various researches we keep running out of resources, which is preventing us to move faster. Now it’s time for us to dig in and keep doing all necessary researches and then accumulate enough resources to research Iron age.

Happy Diwali to all of you, and our experiments continue…

  5. […] is going against you. I have now faced such situations twice at AmiWorks, first in 2011, and then again in 2014. I continued simply because I believe in identifying and correcting mistakes and moving […]
